Makwena Mamadi, new Radio Turf Station Manager
Makwena Mamadi has been appointed as the new Station Manager of Radio Turf 103.8 FM, succeeding Rev. VD Mabuza after his retirement in 2021.
His radio career began in 2005 at Mohodi Community Radio Station where he had a variety of positions, including senior producer, newsreader, and presenter of current affairs.
In 2014, Mamadi was promoted to the
position of Deputy Station Manager after
joining Radio Turf in 2013 as the Programs Manager.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Media
studies from University of Venda and his Honors in Media Studies from the University of Limpopo. He is currently pursuing his Master of Media at UL.
Radio Turf is seen as more of an urban campus radio station. The station forms part of the Media Studies faculty of the University of Limpopo.
The station broadcasts relevant local information to Mankweng community and the surrounding Polokwane area.
Mamadi expressed his gratitude to all of the people he has worked with and pledged to fly the flag high on the station that listens to the people.
Mamadi promises to continue to serve Radio Turf meticulously and ensure the station upholds its mandate of being the number one source of information, education and entertainment for the people of Mankweng and the surrounding areas.
