Multiple award-winning gospel singer Dr. Winnie Mashaba celebrated her 25 years in the music industry at Meropa Casino. The celebration took place on May 20 as part of her Relebogile Tour.
In a recent post, Dr. Winnie Mashaba expressed how she would have loved her mom and grandmother to witness her milestone.
“I really wished my mom was still alive so she could witness the biggest highlight ever in my music career. I bless the Lord for this humbling moment,” she said.
“All I thought of was my grandmother Mali, who taught and guided me through the path of God. Thanks to my mother who truly trusted our grandparents with us,” she added.
Winnie Mashaba’s 25-Year Career
Winnie Mashaba started her career in 1998 while in grade 11 when gospel singer Solly Moholo took her under his wing. Mashaba has released 18 albums.
She won Best Traditional Gospel Artist at the Limpopo Music Awards in 2019, Best Female Artist at the Crown Gospel Awards in 2010, and the One Gospel Best Song of the Year award for Hakena Nako in 2008. In 2015, she got a job as a presenter on Dumisa TV.
Mashaba hopes to take the Relebogile Tour all over.
“I am also planning to go to Gauteng, Mpumalanga, KZN, and the North West province, not forgetting our neighboring countries such as Botswana, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe. My main objective is to show gratitude to all who have been there for me over the years,” she said.
