Matome Robert Mahlatse Thoka, known by his stage name Limpopo Boy, was recently awarded the Khaya So’Superkool iPiano International Inspiration Award.
The event took place on Saturday, 9 March, coinciding with his 30th birthday celebration at Propaganda in Pretoria.
He took to social media to thank his fans and appreciate the award.

The Khaya So’Superkool iPiano International Ispiration Award is a global token of appreciation to world trailblazers and icons who inspire excellence, greatness, humanity, hope for the finer things in life, and legendary achievements. Let’s continue flying our flag high with pride and dignity.”
In 2023 he claimed the number one spot at the Brussels Dance Battle held in AB’s Main Hall, Belgium, competing in hip-hop, house, krump and ksaara categories.
Limpopo Boy made a name for himself dancing for artists such as DJ Cleo, Sho Madjozi, Lady Zamar and Makhadzi.
Rising to fame in 2016 through State Theatre’s Show Your Talent, his journey includes featuring in Cleo’s hit song “Yile Gqom” and performing globally.
He established Limpopo Boy Dance Academy in 2019 with ambitions to expand his academy nationwide.
