Over 400 Undocumented Foreign Nationals Among Suspects Arrested in Limpopo
Limpopo SAPS has arrest 957 suspects, including over 400 undocumented individuals during a week-long roadblocks and stop-and-search operations.
The operations took place across the province between 29 July and 04 August 2024, police officers conducted raids on crime hotspots areas.
The police traced wanted suspects, and conducted roadblocks and stop-and-search operations
The arrested suspects face charges including; murder, attempted murder, car-jacking, undocumented immigration, drug-related offenses, theft and robbery, assault and rape.
Police further confiscated various types of drugs such as dagga, heroin and nyaope, counterfeit goods, and suspected stolen properties, among others.

Meanwhile, Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned the attack on an off-duty police officer after he was stabbed by an alleged suspect in a case the officer was investigating.
The officer was attacked in Polokwane CBD on Thursday night, 01 August 2024.
The suspect allegedly approached him while standing next to his vehicle, stabbed him and removed the car keys from the ignition before fleeing the scene.
The officer sustained injuries, gave chase until he caught the suspect where a physical altercation ensued.
” We will not tolerate such barbaric acts of violence against our members. The positive response of our community members is highly commendable, and we are forever indebted to them for not turning a blind eye on the situation but assisting our member. We will ensure the suspect faces the full might of the law,” said Lieutenant General Hadebe
The community promptly responded after noticing the commotion and assisted the victim. The suspect was apprehended, and the injured police officer was transported to the hospital.
The Police have opened a case of theft out of motor vehicle and attempted murder.
