ANC Limpopo Rejects Boy Mamabolo’s Demands for Reinstatement on the list of members going to the National Council of Provinces
African National Congress (ANC) MP Boy Mamabolo has threatened to lodge an urgent interdict to halt the swearing-in of Limpopo candidates for the National Assembly.
Mamabolo is accusing the ANC of illegally removing his name from the party’s Limpopo National Council candidates list.
He instructed his lawyers to write a final demand to the provincial executive committee to reinstate his name on the list of members going to the National Council of Provinces.
He says the party promised to resolve the matter internally but did not do so.

Mamabolo says he gave the ANC until Tuesday to respond to the demands or he will approach the High Court.
“If they don’t respond, we will approach the High Court on an urgent basis to interdict the swearing-in ceremony of members from Limpopo next week,” said Mamabolo

ANC Limpopo spokesperson Jimmy Machaka says they have noted the letter; however, the ANC’s position on the matter has not changed.
“The ANC won’t let Comrade Boy Mamabolo bully us, and our stance on this matter remains unchanged. The ANC will vigorously defend itself against any attempt to drag it back to court,” said Machaka
