Armed Suspects Target Mankweng Traffic and Licensing Centre

The police in Mankweng are investigating a business robbery after a group of armed suspects broke into the facility, stealing key infrastructure.
Limpopo police report that security officers were on duty when a group of armed suspects wearing balaclavas emerged.
“The suspects robbed the security guards of their firearms and cellphones. They then proceeded to the offices and broke windows to gain entry,” police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba stated.

The Polokwane Municipality has expressed regret over the disruption this closure will cause to its patrons.
In the meantime, customers are advised to use alternative facilities, including the Ladanna Centre in the city and the Aganang Centre in Ceres, for their traffic and licensing needs.
Ledwaba also noted that three safes were found damaged.
The municipality is currently working closely with law enforcement to investigate the incident and restore services as quickly as possible. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
“As the municipality works to restore operations at the centre, customers are advised to make use of alternative facilities, such as the Ladanna Traffic Department or the Aganang Centre in Ceres, to access essential traffic and licensing services,” municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said.
