Capricorn FM’s Ndivho Makhwanya takes her final drive in the afternoon.
In a significant move in Limpopo radio landscape, Ndivho Makhwanya, who served as Capricorn FM’s Afternoon Drive Presenter, has bid a heartfelt farewell to the station.
Makhwanya, who emerged as a bright talent through a presenter search initiative, was on-air for only nine-month on Capricorn FM before announcing her exciting transition.
According to reliable sources, it is suggested that her next move is to Metro FM.
In a heartfelt post on her Facebook page, Makhwanya expressed her gratitude for the opportunity she received during her time at Capricorn FM.
She acknowledged the support of her fans and the belief they had in her work, promising to reveal her next venture in the near future.
“Today is my last day @CapricornFM. So grateful for the opportunity I was granted to be on Limpopo’s Hottest Frequency. I’ll always be indebted to all who rallied behind me during the Presenter Search and consistently listened to my shows. Thank you for seeing me and believing in me. I’ll share very soon what the next move will be. Cheers to so much more,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
Makhwanya quickly made her presence felt at Capricorn FM, climbing the ranks to co-host “Capricorn Drive,” one of the station’s flagship shows, which airs on weekdays from 15:00 to 18:00.
Her dynamic co-hosting alongside Dee Nkomo garnered a dedicated following. Additionally, she commanded the airwaves as the host of “Urban Hot 40” on Saturdays, broadcasting from 10:00 to 14:00.
Hailing from Manini village in the Vhembe District, Makhwanya’s radio journey had its roots at the community radio station Choice FM.
Her previous experience included hosting “The Driver” program on Choice FM from Monday to Friday, running from 14:00 to 18:00, and overseeing the “Vodacom Next Level Top 20” on Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 14:00.
