House music producer and dj Chymamusique was the biggest winner at this year’s South African Music Awards held in Sun City over the weekend, taking home three awards.
Collen Mmotla, popularly known as Chymamusique was born in Diphale in Burgersfort. He is a multi-award-winning South African music producer, DJ, and sound engineer.
Chymamusique won Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for his album “Musique” and Best Dance Album award, making him the biggest winner of the evening.
“Lord I thank you, thanks to all my friends who worked with me from the beginning until now and everyone who loves our music,” the Speak Lord hitmaker twitted.
Chymamusique started his music career as a jazz pianist in year 2000, he then developed love for house music and started learning production in 2005.
He now runs his own label, ‘Chymamusique Records,’ and works as a producer/remixer and DJ for Soulcandi Records, House Afrika Records, and Mofunk Records.
