DJ Cappuccino Pens Apology Letter to Mokgalong
Fortune Maswanganyi, popularly known as DJ Cappuccino, has issued a heartfelt letter of apology to Vice-Chancellor Professor Mahlo Mokgalong of the University of Limpopo.
Maswanganyi wrote that his frustrations over administrative errors preventing his graduation led him to resort to insults and trolling Mokgalong and his family.
.”I extend my deepest apologies for the disrespectful, demeaning and hurtful comments I made towards you on social media platforms. My behaviour was inexcusable, and I take full responsibility for the pain and embarrassment I have caused,” wrote Maswanganyi
Maswanganyi added that he is committed to making amends and demonstrating through my actions that am capable of handling disputes with maturity and respect.
“I also want to extend my apologies to the university community for any negative impact my actions may have had on its reputation. The University deserves better, and I pledge to uphold the values of integrity and respect moving forward,” wrote wrote Maswanganyi
Maswanganyi said that he removed all social media posts about the VC four months ago because his conscience was already speaking to him.
He clarified that his apology has nothing to do with graduating his Master’s degree; rather, it is a genuine apology aimed at fostering peace.

“Not once have I insulted or attacked the VC on my podcast. Whenever his name is mentioned, I brush it off. I have always genuinely commented positively about UL because it’s my home, and I aspire to work with, within, or partner with it someday.”
“I still hope to study there too. I pray and hope that the administrative error is rectified, and I’m not going to rant about it. I just pray that I don’t graduate with a PhD before UL confers my Masters, concluded Maswanganyi
