Limpopo born actor Cornet Mamabolo, well known as Thabo “T-Bose” Maputla on Skeem Saam, has joined the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela The River.
Taking to social media, the 32-year-old revealed that he’s bouncing back on our small screens with a new on-screen character.
“I know you missed me on your screens. I’m coming in differently this time as Lerumo on The River,” he wrote.
Mamabolo went on hiatus in October 2021 and left SABC weekday drama to focus on his insurance business.
He runs an insurance company called Digni Financial Services, which offers funeral policies, employee benefits and underwriting.
The River is set in Pretoria and follows the lives of the Dlaminis and the Mokoenas, two families from different backgrounds that are brought together and divided by the discovery of a diamond in Cullinan.
It is a South African telenovela about immense wealth and immense poverty, The Haves and The Have Nots – bound together by secrets, murder and betrayal as they battle for the land. Catch The River at 7pm every weekday on DStv Channel 161.
