Four Limpopo Schools Attacked by Criminals and Admin Block Burnt
Four Limpopo school have become targets of burglary, resulting in significant losses of valuable items and damage to property.
According to police reports, the incidents occurred during the early hours of the morning, with authorities responding to calls from four different school premises.
At Blinkwater Gidela Secondary School in Ximausa village, perpetrators reportedly broke into the premises at approximately 04:30 AM.
The initial alert came when community members noticed the school administration block engulfed in flames.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that the doors had been forcefully opened and an undisclosed amount of cash stolen.

Further investigations revealed extensive damage and losses, including stationery, a photocopy machine, printer, furniture, soccer kits, and school trophies, with the total estimated value of R341,700-00.
In separate incidents, similar break-ins were reported at Ximausa Mpembelani School, Ha-Aka Primary School in Nobelhoek village, and Nobelhoek Primary School, where laptops and tables were reported stolen.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has expressed strong condemnation following multiple incidents reported in Blinkwater Gidela Secondary School and surrounding villages.
She has pledged a swift and thorough investigation into these crimes, emphasizing the need for community cooperation and vigilance.
“These incidents are deeply concerning as they not only impact the educational environment but also disrupt the community at large,” she stated.
The police have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice. Security measures at local schools are expected to be heightened in response to these incidents.
