Kabelo Ledwaba Jnr (11) from Ga-Mashashane in Limpopo will compete against the best junior riders in the world at the 2022 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship taking place in Vantaa, Finland.
Kabelo Jnr started racing when he was only eight years old and with only three years racing experience he has achieved international success.
He says this opportunity has made him to becoming an example to many other children. “I want to show people what a person from Mashashane can do and that as South Africans we don’t just don’t win, but fight for it,” Kabelo Jnr said.
The Executive Mayor Cllr John Mpe on behalf of the Polokwane Municipality has conveyed congratulatory wishes to Kabelo Jnr.
“Junior is a perfect example to the young people from Polokwane that the youngest achiever in the country can come from a rural village and proceed to the world arena to carry and represent the aspirations of the whole country. We wish him the best of moments as he get his shot of glory”, Mpe said.
The event will be held at the legendary tracks of Ruskeasanta and Lavanko from the 26th to the 28th of August 2022.
