Limpopo Celebrates Record Matric Pass Rate of 85.01%
Limpopo Province has achieved a historic milestone, with a National Senior Certificate (NSC) pass rate of 85.01%, an increase of 5.5% from the previous year.
Education MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya made the announcement on Monday during a celebratory event at the Ranch Resort near Polokwane.
“For the first time since the dawn of democracy, Limpopo has surpassed the 80% mark,” said Lerule-Ramakhanya.
“This achievement is thanks to the unwavering dedication of our principals, teachers, and education officials. Three years ago, we declared Limpopo a province on the rise, and today, we have fulfilled that promise.”
Lerule-Ramakhanya urged learners who did not pass to take advantage of support programs.
“It is not the end of the world. Dust yourselves off and keep moving forward,” she said.
