
Limpopo Comedian SABC Livhu Faces Theft, Fraud, and Murder Charges
Limpopo-based comedian Livhuwani Madadzhe, known as “SABC Livhu,” has appeared before the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on charges of theft of a motor vehicle and fraud.
Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, Regional Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Limpopo, stated that Madadzhe is alleged to have rented a BMW X3 from Avis, as well as hired multiple vehicles from other rental companies over a period of time.
“Furthermore, he allegedly posed as an agent for Avis and other car rental services on social media, offering vehicles for hire fraudulently,” said Malabi-Dzhangi.
“Madadzhe is also facing trial in the Thohoyandou High Court, sitting at the Waterval Magistrate’s Court, on charges of murder and two counts of fraud. It is alleged that he murdered his wife, Lindelani Nengovhela, 32, and disposed of her body in a hole at their homestead.”

Additionally, Madadzhe is accused of faking his mother’s death and death certificate to fraudulently claim a funeral policy payout.
“At the time of committing these alleged offences, Madadzhe was out on R50,000 bail under the following conditions: no interference with state witnesses, no further criminal activities, and reporting to Sandton police station every Monday and Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.,” according to the NPA.
Following his court appearance on Wednesday, the case against Madadzhe has been postponed to March 18 for a bail application.
His high court trial is scheduled to continue on March 17.
