Limpopo Police Launch Manhunt for Suspects Linked to Gruesome Murder
Limpopo Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has ordered an urgent manhunt of suspects involved in the gruesome murder of a man following the discovery of the mutilated body.
According to local police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the discovery was made at around 13:30 along R37 near a fuel Station in Burgesfort policing area on Saturday.
Ledwaba said the police were alerted to the incident and upon arrival with the Emergency Medical Services personnel, they found a male victim , lying naked on the ground with multiple injuries on the face and lower body.

“The reports suggest that the deceased was staying with his nephew. Apparently the nephew last saw his uncle on Friday, 07 June 2024 at around 14:00 when he indicated that he was going to visit his girlfriend unknown to the nephew,” said Ledwaba
The man was certified dead on the scene and his identity is withheld pending further Police investigations.
The motive behind the incident is currently unknown.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe strongly condemned the incident.
“I have ordered a team of investigators to get to the bottom of this brutal and senseless killing. We will work tirelessly to ensure that perpetrators behind this incident are tracked down and apprehended. We appeal to the community members to come forward with any information that can assist the Police to arrest the suspects involved,” Concluded Lieutenant General Hadebe.
