Makoro Foundation Supports Shebeshxt Return to the Spotlight
Makoro John Mpe Foundation held a media press conference to launch “The Return of Shebeshxt” One Man Show at Park Inn by Radisson Polokwane on Tuesday.
The Foundation stepped in to help Katlego Lehlogonolo Chauke, popularly known as Shebeshxt, get back on his feet following a devastating car accident that took the life of his young daughter, Onthatile, and left him with serious injuries.
Executive Mayor of the City of Polokwane and Founder of the Makoro John Mpe Foundation, Cllr Makoro John Mpe, said the Foundation has organized a special event to mark Shebeshxt’s return to the public eye.
He said the show, “Shebeshxt the Return,” will be a one-man show, scheduled to take place on 21 September 2024 at the Polokwane Rugby Fields.
“This event will officially welcome Katlego Lehlogonolo Chauke back to the entertainment scene, elevate him to inspire and positively impact the lives of young people, and raise funds to cover his medical costs and support his full recovery. Additionally, the funds raised will be used to establish a foundation in honor of Katlego’s daughter, Onthatile,” said Mpe.
The Foundation says it has successfully mobilized artists from the entertainment industry to rally behind the show.
“We are thrilled with the support we’ve received from so many talented individuals. Their positive response not only highlights the strength of our industry but also promises an unforgettable event for everyone involved.”
