Mia Le Roux has been crowned Miss South Africa 2024, following a glamorous evening celebrating the 66th edition of the Miss South Africa pageant at the SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria.
The 28-year-old marketing manager, model and part-time BCom marketing student hails from Rosebank in Cape Town, but was born in Sasolburg, Free State and raised in Oudtshoorn.
Le Roux was diagnosed with profound hearing loss at the age of one and has a cochlear implant to help her perceive sound.
She said it had taken two years of speech therapy before she was able to say her first words.
Le Roux is no stranger to the world of beauty pageants. The Miss South Africa 2024 queen won titles such as Miss Struisie, Miss Garden Route, and Ultimate Wildcat. She also made it to the Top 5 in Miss Deaf South Africa. as per Smile FM
Mia Le Roux was joined by her contenders in the pageant’s Top 3 – runner-up to crown, Nompumelelo Maduna,and Onalenna Constantin claiming third place.

Le Roux said she hoped her victory would help those who felt excluded from society to be excluded.
“We are leaving too many South Africans behind and I am here to teach the included how to be inclusive towards the excluded. As well as empowering the excluded with tools so that they can reach their full potential, because our country is at its strongest when it is unified,” she said
She receives a R1 million cash prize and sponsorship package that includes a lavish apartment and the use of a Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé for the next 12 months.
