Jacaranda FM radio host and model, Manani Botes is the newly crowned Mrs. Limpopo 2024.
The Mrs. Limpopo 2024 beauty pageant competition was held at Bolivia Estate in Polokwane on Saturday.
Originally hailing from Giyani, Manani Botes spent her formative years in Modjadjiskloof and attended Modubatse Secondary School. Despite being born into Tsonga culture in Limpopo, her upbringing was shaped in an Afrikaans household.
Manani also attended a Sotho school and later married into a Coloured community, reflecting the rich diversity that characterises South Africa.
Manani’s journey in the world of beauty pageants began during her high school years. Her initial success came in 2009 when she participated in the Miss Lethabo Show, securing the crown.
She also shone in the Miss Charity pageant, earning the title of queen. Notably, she reached the final round of the Miss Summer Heat 2011 competition.
In 2022, Manani gained recognition as a semi-finalist in both Mrs. South Africa and Mrs. Global Earth SA pageants. On Saturday evening, Botes was crowned as the new title holder.
“Lord, I have no words but lead me to serve with truth and honesty. I feel like this is a dream, a moment where God is showing off. I still have no words but want to thank everyone who stood by my side,I know God placed them in my life for a reason,” Botes wrote on Facebook.
Beyond the world of beauty pageants, Manani made a significant mark on radio. She joined Jacaranda FM in 2022 when she participated in the Presenter Search Campaign, aimed at unearthing and nurturing local talent.
