SATMAs Unveils Nominees for the 2024 Awards
The South African Traditional Music Achievements Awards (SATMA Awards) announced a total of 113 Nominees across 32 Categories at the 19th SATMAs nominees unveiling at Freedom Park Museum in Pretoria.
In collaboration with the Department of Sport, Arts & Culture, Freedom Park Museum, SAMRO and SABC, the South African Traditional Music Achievements Awards (SATMA Awards) proudly revealed the list of Nominees for the highly anticipated 2024 ceremony.
SATMA Awards founder Mr. Dumisani Goba paid tribute to the South African freedom fighters.
Amongst those honored were former Speaker in the National Assembly of SA Ms. Baleka Mbete, former Minister Thandi Modise, and former Minister in the presidency Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma.

The Awards extended appreciation to its partners department of Sport, Arts & Culture, SAMRO, Freedom Park Museum, SABC, SABC1 and Vib Mobile whose presence elevated the event.
The audience was treated to electrifying performances by renowned artists, including Singer Mthandazo Gatya, iNtaba Yase Dubai, Miss Hillary, Mbali Zuke, Ntunja, Mr. Vee Sholo and the University of Pretoria UP Ovuwa Cultural Ensemble also graced the stage, inspiring all to celebrate heritage and culture.
