Sir-Jovial, real name Legadimana Maisela, has formally apologised to Lucia Buthane, the founder and CEO of BoMma Sneakers.

This comes after Sir Jovial made some comments on the BoMma Facebook page that didn’t sit well with the brand’s chief executive, Lucia Buthane.

Buthane issued a statement to clarify the issue that led to their disagreement.

“We would like to register our apology on behalf of our newly local brand called BoMma sneakers for the insesative, unprofessional malicious remarks made by our ambassador Sir Jovial following a disagreement with the brand executive. We further like to notify that Sir Jovial was removed as an Admin from BoMma sneakers page”

Minutes after the statement, Sir Jovial went live on his Facebook page and also posted a status instructing his followers to directly order sneakers from him. He told his followers that BoMma Facebook page was hacked and further claimed that he is the CEO and founder of BoMma Sneakers

“Please don’t entertain and follow that BoMma sneakers page because its hacked. I had a partner… but I can’t say I had a partner since he showed me his true colors. He didn’t respect me and he didn’t value me… You must start ordering your sneakers and T-shirts from me… I am the CEO of BoMma sneakers”, said Jovial.

Lucia Buthane responded by posting company registration documents, a contract between BoMma sneakers and Sir Jovial, and trademark application forms.

Buthane posted these document to prove that Sir Jovial is not the founder or CEO of BoMma sneakers but just an ambassador. Buthane threatened to take the legal route.

“Sometimes its necessary to put documents on the table so that we all find each other. I have officially handed over the case to my legal team. The page is not hacked and its operated by Buthane himself”, said Buthane

Sir Jovial later issued a letter of apology. He wrote in the letter that he misled customers and lied about owning the BoMma sneakers.

” I hearby wish to state that both my averament were not only untrue but were also misleading to the public and potential customers.”

“I have since realised the unintended consequences and or possible consequences of my actions had or would have caused to the BoMma sneakers brand and I hearby publicly apologies to the founder and director of BoMma sneakers Mr Lucia Buthane and the public at large for my actions.”
