Team Limpopo returned home from the 2023 Dance-Sport Interprovincial Championships held in Qeberha, Eastern Cape. The team’s performance earned them a total of 73 medals, consisting of 26 gold, 20 silver, and 27 bronze medals.
The group includes the reigning champions of South African dance competitions, Ramano and Adelaide Hlungwani, who have also been selected to represent South Africa on the international stage.
Limpopo Sports, Arts and Culture Head of Department , Daphney Ramokgopa, expressed her utmost support, urging them to continue raising the flag of Limpopo high in the realm of dance-sport.
She said the department remains commited to stand firmly behind the team, providing them with the necessary support they need to excel in their endeavors.
“Let us all come together and celebrate the remarkable achievements of Team Limpopo and their unwavering dedication to elevating the sporting landscape of our beloved province. Together, let us rise and propel Limpopo’s sports sector forward,” said Ramokgopa.
Federation of Dance Sport South Africa hosted the Inter-Provincial Championships on 7 & 8 July in Gqeberha. The event culminated with Provinces contesting for the coveted title of Inter- Provincial Championships.
