Three suspects arrested after University of Limpopo student murder.
Three male suspects aged between 23 and 33 were nabbed in Mankweng outside Polokwane in connection with the murder of a 24 year-old male victim on Sunday.
According to police report the deceased who is a student at the University of Limpopo was walking with a friend at Gate two (2) when they were confronted by three unknown male suspects who attempted to rob them.
The duo resisted to be robbed and one of the suspects took out a sharp object and stabbed one of the male victim on the upper body.
The Security guards at the gate witnessed the incident and grabbed two suspects who were later handed to the police.
The third suspect managed to flee the scene on foot.
The 24 year-old male victim was rushed to Mankweng hospital but he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.
The third suspect handed himself to the police the next day accompanied by his parents.
The trio appeared before the Mankweng Magistrate court on Tuesday facing a charge of murder.
